Cross River Partnership case studies
Upcircle created the visual identity and designed 10 case studies for the Clean Air Villages program, which aims to reduce emissions in 10 hotspots of poor air quality across five London boroughs. Within these hotspot villages, Cross River Partnership - one of City of Westminster partners - is working with businesses and communities to make their deliveries and servicing more efficient, using both individual and collective action.

Deliverables:

Visual identity

Graphic design
Sustainability plays a big part in graphic design and with more efficient decisions we can make sure we are preserving the environment, by using non-toxic ink with recycled and recyclable paper. The selection of suppliers make this possible, therefore Upcirlce has used Ashley House Printing, one of the most eco-friendly printers in the UK. They combine a passion for print with caring for the planet, doing everything they can to make the world a greener place - from sourcing sustainable print materials, to how they run the business and working with numerous environmental charities and organisations. They are FSC®, ISO 14001 accredited, and affiliated with the Woodland Trust Carbon Capture scheme.
Recognising local characteristics, each village requires a different solution. CRP is creating low and zero-emission directories, helping businesses share suppliers with their neighbours, and even trialling a shared electric van. The DEFRA-funded project is a year-long, working in collaboration with five central London boroughs: Hammersmith & Fulham, Islington, Kensington & Chelsea, Lambeth, Lewisham.
